Role Description The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the organization’s overall investment strategy and portfolio performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing investment policies, setting asset allocation guidelines, and overseeing portfolio construction and rebalancing across asset classes. The CIO will monitor markets, economic trends, and risk factors, using quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform buy, hold, and sell decisions. This role collaborates closely with finance and executive leadership to align investment activities with liquidity needs, capital planning, and long-term growth objectives. The CIO will manage relationships with external managers, advisors, and service providers, ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk standards, and prepare clear reports and presentations for senior leadership, board members, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Investment Strategies and Investments, with a track record of designing and executing effective, risk-aware investment approaches.
Strong background in Investment Management and Portfolio Management, including oversight of multi-asset portfolios and performance evaluation.
Deep knowledge of Finance, including capital markets, valuation, risk management, and financial modeling.
Ability to interpret complex data, market research, and economic indicators to support sound, evidence-based decisions.
Experience managing or advising institutional, corporate, or high-net-worth portfolios; previous CIO or senior investment leadership experience preferred.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with clear written and verbal communication for executive and board-level stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead remote teams, collaborate across functions, and build inclusive, high-performance work environments.
Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are highly beneficial.
