Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Web Design Specialist supporting Akums’ digital presence and brand consistency. The Web Design Specialist will design and maintain responsive websites and landing pages that align with corporate and product branding. Day-to-day tasks include creating user-centered layouts, optimizing site structure and navigation, collaborating with marketing and IT teams, and implementing visual assets to enhance user experience. The role involves translating business requirements into intuitive interfaces, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, and improving performance and accessibility standards. The specialist will also participate in testing, iterating on design solutions based on data and feedback, and maintaining design documentation and style guides.
Qualifications
Strong Web Design and Responsive Web Design skills for building modern, user-friendly interfaces.
Proficiency in User Interface Design and Graphic Design to create clear, visually appealing layouts and assets.
Experience in Front-End Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for implementing and refining designs in a web environment.
Understanding of web usability, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry digital projects is an advantage.
