Role Description The Freelance Product Designer will work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design intuitive and effective pharmaceutical and healthcare-related products and experiences. This role involves translating business and user requirements into clear design concepts, creating visual design assets, and refining product flows and interfaces. The designer will conduct user and stakeholder research, synthesize insights, and apply design thinking methodologies to solve complex problems. Day-to-day tasks include developing wireframes and prototypes, preparing design documentation, and ensuring product designs align with regulatory standards and brand guidelines. The role requires close coordination with product managers, marketers, and technical teams to deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions within agreed timelines.
Qualifications
Strong Product Design skills, with the ability to take concepts from discovery through prototyping to final handoff.
Proficiency in Visual Design, including layout, typography, color, and component-level design for digital and physical products.
Experience applying Design Thinking to frame problems, generate ideas, and iterate based on feedback and constraints.
Hands-on User Research and UX Research skills to gather insights, validate assumptions, and inform design decisions.
Comfort with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalents).
Ability to communicate design rationale clearly and collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Prior experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design outcomes and problem-solving across projects.
