About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR SECURITY OPERATIONS ENGINEER role involves leading security incident response efforts, conducting digital forensic investigations, and collaborating with a global team to monitor and address security events. This position plays a critical role in protecting the organization by managing incidents from detection through resolution, developing automated workflows, and refining security processes.
Responsibilities:
Monitor security events and analyze alerts.
Lead information security incidents and employee investigations, developing and executing response strategies.
Provide clear security guidance on incident response and insider threat initiatives.
Coordinate development and implementation of security operations technologies.
Embed and model the organization's cultural principles in a global team environment.
Requirements:
Minimum five years of experience in security incident response.
Proficient communication of investigative findings to technical and executive audiences.
Ability to build scripts/tools to support investigations, with Python proficiency.
Experience mentoring security operations engineers.
Practical leadership during incident response, including alert triage and cross-team coordination.
Knowledge of forensic analysis techniques on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Experience with SIEM tools for log review.
Familiarity with cloud security and architecture (AWS, GCP).
Residency within Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zone in the US or Canada.
Preferred qualifications:
Over three years working on insider threat initiatives or employee investigations.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
GCIH certification.
Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Annual base salary range of $135,481 to $227,700 USD.
Eligibility for initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff and ongoing refresh opportunities based on performance.
