About the Opportunity:
The PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT, COSTPOINT plays a critical role in managing the organization's accounting functions, particularly focusing on payroll and financial accuracy. This position ensures reliable financial operations through ownership of payroll processing, ledger accounting, reconciliations, and process improvements. The role contributes to the finance team's efficiency and scalability by identifying and implementing enhancements to existing workflows.
Responsibilities:
Manage payroll processing, reconciliation, and resolve related issues
Perform general ledger accounting and journal entries using Deltek Costpoint
Lead month-end close activities and account reconciliations
Reconcile subledger to general ledger and research discrepancies
Maintain accounting records in accordance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and government contracting standards
Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and other business teams
Document, improve, and automate finance processes
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint accounting
Direct experience processing payroll
Proficiency in general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Working knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and CAS
Ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
Comfortable creating and adhering to structured processes
Detail-oriented with strong deadline management skills
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range: $90,000 - $105,000 annually
