Security Architect

2. About the Opportunity:
The Security Architect role is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the security architecture across multiple environments. This position provides technical leadership and strategic guidance to align security controls with business objectives and regulatory standards. It plays a key role in risk evaluation, security standards development, compliance support, and fostering secure engineering and operational practices.
3. Responsibilities:
Design and maintain enterprise security architecture standards across cloud, infrastructure, network, application, and hosting environments
Develop secure reference architectures, security baselines, and operational security standards
Evaluate and recommend security technologies and controls to improve security posture
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Engineering, and Platform teams for secure system design and implementation
Review designs for security risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance alignment
Assist with identity and access management, segmentation, hardening, encryption, and monitoring strategies
Support secure cloud adoption and infrastructure modernization
Provide technical guidance on security controls for production and internal systems
Identify and document security risks across systems and processes
Partner with Compliance and Governance teams to support audits and assessments
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and technical controls
Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation planning
Support governance, access management, logging, monitoring, and security control initiatives
Evaluate exceptions to security standards and provide risk recommendations
Support incident response and security investigations
Guide vulnerability remediation and risk mitigation
Enhance monitoring, detection, alerting, and defense capabilities
Participate in security awareness and best practice promotion
Serve as subject matter expert on infrastructure and operational security
Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and leadership teams
Communicate technical risks and recommendations to stakeholders
Mentor technical teams on secure architecture and best practices
Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies
4. Requirements:
Minimum 5 years in Information Security, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields
At least 3 years in enterprise security architecture and controls
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of infrastructure security principles including networking, hardening, identity management, access control, encryption, logging, and monitoring
Experience with cloud infrastructure and virtualization
Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOC, ISO 27001, CIS, or NIST
Understanding of security architecture methodologies, operational risk management, and secure system design
Experience in vulnerability management and security assessments
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent)
Experience in hosting, cloud infrastructure, managed services, SaaS, or enterprise operations
Knowledge of IAM, SSO, MFA, and privileged access management
Familiarity with containerization, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps
Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, and security monitoring tools
Experience supporting customer-facing security reviews or audits
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The compensation range for this position is between $140k and $160k
