About the Opportunity:
The FULL STACK DATA ENGINEER role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms. This position ensures reliable and efficient data flow, implements data governance and security, and contributes to cloud-based data solutions that support business goals. The role is impactful in advancing the organization's data infrastructure and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Design and build scalable data ingestion and curation pipelines from diverse sources
Ensure data quality, standardization, and optimization for analytics
Utilize Python, SQL, and DBT/Dataform for pipeline development
Manage end-to-end data integration and flow
Develop and maintain GCP data platforms including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions
Implement data governance, access controls, and security measures
Use Astronomer and Terraform for data workflow orchestration and cloud infrastructure
Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and resource use
Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to establish best practices
Automate data platform processes to improve reliability and efficiency
Communicate technical decisions effectively to various stakeholders
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies
Translate business requirements into efficient data solutions
Document data engineering processes to support knowledge sharing
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
At least 2 years experience with:
Engineering real-time streaming pipelines using Kafka, OpenShift, and Dataflow
Java and Spring Boot for connected vehicle data processing
Architecting databases with Spanner, PostgreSQL, and BigQuery
Managing GCP cloud data projects using Apache Beam, Airflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Build
Developing high-volume connected vehicle data streaming platforms with OpenShift and Spring Boot
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range from $128,003.00 to $174,548.04 per year
