As a Junior UI/UX Designer at Counterspell Games Studio, you will support the design and refinement of user interfaces and user experiences for games and interactive projects. In this remote contract role, you will assist in creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes based on project requirements and user feedback. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and other creatives to ensure interfaces are visually cohesive, accessible, and intuitive. Daily tasks may include refining interaction flows, preparing assets for implementation, documenting design decisions, and participating in playtesting or usability reviews. You will iterate on designs based on feedback and help maintain consistency with project style guides and design systems.
Qualifications
Foundational UI design skills, including creating layouts, wireframes, and visual mockups using common design tools
.
Basic UX skills, such as understanding user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns for games or interactive applications.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment, communicate design ideas clearly, and incorporate constructive feedback.
Interest in game design, playful experiences, or experimental interactive media, with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects or coursework.
Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and comfort working within established style guides and design systems.
Experience with prototyping tools, version control for design files, or basic familiarity with game engines is a plus.
Relevant education or training in design, HCI, game development, or a related field is beneficial but not strictly required.
