About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Konstanz location. In this role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and enhancing our virtualized infrastructure environments used for software development within highly secure, air-gapped settings. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, leveraging modern DevOps practices to ensure seamless software delivery. You will work closely with software development teams and the IT department to integrate new technologies and software solutions efficiently, while maintaining the highest standards of security and system integrity. Your expertise will contribute to the automation of workflows, security management, and documentation, supporting the overall mission of delivering reliable and secure systems for military and industrial applications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, along with practical experience in a DevOps environment. Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker is essential, and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is advantageous. Candidates should have a solid understanding of CI/CD tools and workflows, as well as experience with collaboration platforms, version control systems, and development environments. Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash are required, complemented by good Linux knowledge. Excellent command of the German language, both spoken and written, is necessary. Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain virtualized infrastructure environments for software development in secure, air-gapped settings.
Develop, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes to facilitate continuous integration and delivery.
Collaborate closely with software development teams and IT to ensure smooth integration of new software and technological updates.
Implement and manage security measures to safeguard systems and data, maintaining compliance with security standards.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
