Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cam Programmer role based in Bengaluru. The Cam Programmer will create and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for milling and machining operations, ensuring high precision and efficient cycle times. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, defining machining strategies, selecting tools and cutting parameters, and simulating toolpaths to prevent errors. The role involves coordinating with design, production, and quality teams to resolve manufacturability issues, improve processes, and support timely completion of jobs. The Cam Programmer will also maintain program documentation, update tooling libraries, and contribute to continuous improvement of CAM workflows and CNC machining performance.
Qualifications
Ability to interpret and create Technical Drawings for manufacturing and machining processes.
Hands-on understanding of Milling and Machining operations, including tools, materials, and cutting parameters.
Strong skills in Programming and CNC Programming for multi-axis machines using CAD/CAM software.
Proficiency with CAM and CAD tools (e.g.,Autodesk fusion 360 similar) and familiarity with G-code.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, or a related technical field.
Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality and safety in a workshop environment.
Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with operators and engineers.
Experience in a CNC machine shop or precision manufacturing setting is preferred.
