About The Role
We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our team in Maryland Heights, MO, and/or Hazelwood, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for developing software solutions for the F-15 Mission Planning systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical defense projects, contributing to the development and maintenance of sophisticated software applications that support vital military operations. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related field. Candidates should have at least one year of experience working with Git and Object-Oriented Programming, along with a good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this role. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a U.S. security clearance, as this position involves working on sensitive defense projects.
Preferred qualifications include a more extensive background in full software development lifecycle, experience with Javascript, and a degree from an accredited institution. Candidates with multiple years of relevant experience, especially in defense or aerospace industries, are highly encouraged to apply. A demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, collaborate effectively, and adapt to evolving project requirements will set candidates apart.
Responsibilities
Develop, document, maintain, and unit test code using programming languages such as C#, Javascript, and SQL.
Design and implement software components, ensuring integration into a fully functional system.
Utilize appropriate tools and processes, tailoring them to project needs for efficient development.
Perform troubleshooting and defect resolution to maintain software quality and reliability.
Collaborate with team members to propose and implement innovative solutions to technical challenges.
Work under general supervision, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
Integrate and compile software components into builds, performing limited testing in target environments.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project goals and team success.

The base pay range for this position is approximately $82,000 to $89,000, with pay determined based on experience, qualifications, and market conditions. We strive to ensure our compensation packages are fair, competitive, and aligned with industry standards.
