About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team at Riverty. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our in-house software systems, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and aligned with our strategic goals. You will work closely with a team of experienced developers to enhance our core systems, participate in designing new features, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be involved in innovative projects within a forward-thinking organization that values technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving. The role is based in Dortmund, with the flexibility of working up to 80% remotely within Germany, supporting a healthy work-life balance and flexible working arrangements.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
A completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
Extensive experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of modern Java technologies and frameworks.
Proficiency in working with SQL databases and designing efficient data models.
Fluent German language skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with Delphi and Object Pascal is advantageous but not mandatory.
A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
As a Java Developer at Riverty, your core responsibilities will include:
Participating in the development, testing, and deployment of scalable and maintainable software solutions in Java.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Refactoring and optimizing existing systems, including our in-house ERP system, to improve performance and scalability.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development standards, architecture, and processes.
Ensuring high code quality through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Staying updated with the latest industry trends and integrating innovative solutions into our systems.
Supporting the integration of new services into our existing system landscape, ensuring seamless operation and future-proofing.
