About The Role
We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our talented development team at Acufore India Private Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, project managers, and QA specialists to deliver seamless digital solutions that meet client requirements. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience of 3+ years in PHP development, particularly with PHP 8+ and frameworks like CodeIgniter, is essential. Strong knowledge of RESTful API development, MVC architecture, and object-oriented programming is required. Candidates must have hands-on experience with MySQL, including complex queries, database design, and optimization techniques. A solid understanding of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap is also necessary. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, API debugging tools such as Postman, and security best practices for web applications is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications using PHP, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party APIs to extend application functionalities. Develop backend modules utilizing CodeIgniter framework, following proper MVC architecture to ensure maintainability and scalability. Design, write, and optimize complex MySQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and database structures to enhance performance and data integrity. Implement robust authentication, authorization, session management, cookies, and role-based access control mechanisms to secure applications. Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and bugs to ensure smooth operation. Integrate external services such as payment gateways, email/SMS services, and other third-party APIs to enrich application features. Collaborate closely with frontend developers to integrate APIs and develop comprehensive application modules. Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and maintainable code to facilitate future enhancements. Perform debugging, unit testing, and troubleshooting of production issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Use version control systems like Git for source-code management, following proper branching, merging, and code review procedures. Participate actively in requirement analysis, technical discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities. Monitor application and database performance, optimize response times, and implement improvements to ensure optimal user experience.
