Role Description The Journalism Intern will support EduAdvice™ in producing accurate, engaging, and timely education-related content in a remote internship role. Day-to-day tasks will include researching education news and opportunities, drafting news articles, writing short updates for campus news and alerts, and assisting in preparing press releases and feature stories. The intern will collaborate with editors and the content team to verify information, fact-check sources, and ensure adherence to editorial standards and ethical journalism practices. Responsibilities may also include conducting brief interviews, summarizing policy changes, supporting podcast or social content scripts, and helping with basic content formatting for web and social channels. This internship is suitable for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in digital journalism and education reporting while working remotely.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Writing and News Writing skills for clear, concise, and engaging articles.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordination with editors, sources, and stakeholders.
Candidates should possess solid Research skills for fact-checking, data gathering, and verifying information.
Candidates should possess basic Press Releases writing skills to support official announcements and updates.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, meet deadlines, and follow editorial guidelines.
Familiarity with digital media, basic web publishing tools, and social platforms is an advantage.
Demonstrated interest in education, public policy, or social impact sectors is beneficial.
