About The Role
The Mobile Engineer role owns the development of high-quality iOS and Android experiences for a user-facing product used at significant scale. The work spans mobile architecture, API integration, offline behavior, performance optimization, analytics, and release management.
You will partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA to turn product requirements into reliable mobile workflows. The team values engineers who can make sound platform-specific decisions while maintaining consistent experiences across Swift or Kotlin codebases.
Key Responsibilities
Build and ship production mobile features using Swift and SwiftUI for iOS, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android, or a cross-platform framework such as React Native or Flutter
Design mobile architecture, navigation flows, state management, networking layers, and local persistence for maintainable, testable applications
Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication, push notifications, deep linking, analytics, and third-party SDKs
Improve application performance by profiling startup time, rendering, memory usage, battery consumption, and network behavior with platform-native tooling
Write unit, integration, and UI tests using XCTest, XCUITest, JUnit, Espresso, or equivalent frameworks; maintain reliable CI checks
Manage release workflows through App Store Connect and Google Play Console, including phased rollouts, feature flags, crash monitoring, and production rollback plans
Collaborate in code reviews and technical design discussions while documenting mobile standards, tradeoffs, and operational runbooks
What We Are Looking For
3–8 years of professional mobile software development experience, with multiple applications or major features shipped to the App Store or Google Play
Strong production experience with either iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI/UIKit or Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose/Android SDK; willingness to work across both platforms
Proficiency with mobile architecture patterns, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, local storage, networking, and secure handling of user data
Hands-on experience integrating REST or GraphQL services, authentication flows, push notifications, analytics platforms, and third-party SDKs
Experience with Git-based development, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, crash reporting, and performance monitoring using tools such as Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler, Firebase Crashlytics, or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
Bonus: Experience with React Native or Flutter, mobile payments, offline-first applications, accessibility standards, Kotlin Multiplatform, or App Store and Google Play release automation
