2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Application Engineer role is responsible for designing and developing AI-integrated software solutions for internal applications. This position contributes by applying strong programming fundamentals and AI development tooling to enhance system reliability and performance across various technologies and cloud environments. The role is critical in advancing the integration of AI within the application suite and improving development efficiency through AI DevOps practices.
3. Responsibilities:
Collaborate in designing and building resilient software with AI integration focused on APIs, data services, and cloud infrastructure.
Develop and maintain AI-powered features using APIs from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
Write and manage code in JavaScript, Python, and PHP, and design AWS serverless Cloud Functions.
Manage databases using MySQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring scalability and security.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to AI integration and system reliability.
Maintain clear documentation of code, AI workflows, and system processes.
Utilize AI development tools to enhance coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Oversee implementation quality, perform code reviews, and optimize cloud application performance.
Mentor team members on AI integration, development tools, and architecture.
Perform additional assigned duties.
4. Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience with production system delivery.
Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals applicable across programming languages.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and server-side languages is beneficial.
Proficiency in integrating third-party and AI-related APIs with understanding of related technical considerations.
Regular use of AI-powered development tools within a professional workflow.
Familiarity with AI DevOps practices across the software development lifecycle.
Solid SQL skills and experience with data manipulation; knowledge of tools like Pandas is a plus.
Competence in deploying and managing applications on AWS.
Experience designing and implementing structured APIs using paradigms such as REST, GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven messaging.
Experience with structured data processing and ETL operations.
