Finance Controller

It addresses the challenges of maintaining accurate financial controls, audit readiness, and efficient accounting processes across multiple locations and entities.
2. About the Opportunity:
The Finance Controller leads the monthly accounting close process, ensuring financial reporting accuracy and balance sheet integrity. This role is essential for maintaining disciplined financial operations, improving audit preparedness, and providing actionable insights to leadership. The position supports the organization''s operational and financial goals in a fast-paced environment.
3. Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the monthly close calendar and checklist to ensure timely financial reporting
Coordinate with accounting teams to resolve close-related issues
Prepare, review, and approve monthly accruals and journal entries
Analyze monthly financial variances and identify operational drivers
Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and supported with documentation
Maintain audit-ready documentation and serve as a contact for auditors and tax advisors
Assist in developing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Utilize NetSuite for accounting processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy
Promote a positive and collaborative work environment aligned with core values
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or Master’s preferred
5 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in multi-entity environments
Prior experience as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager preferred
Public accounting background preferred
Experience working with remote leadership teams and offshore accounting support preferred
Familiarity with multi-location, franchise, childcare, healthcare, hospitality, or service businesses is a plus
Proficiency with NetSuite
Strong accrual accounting and month-end close expertise
Knowledge of US GAAP, audits, and financial controls
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Comfortable with technology, automation, and AI tools
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
