Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test

2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior II Software Development Engineer in Test role is focused on enhancing the quality and reliability of the organization''s custom Linux kernel used in its AI and Compute platforms. This position leads the test strategy, develops scalable automated testing frameworks, and troubleshoots complex system issues to ensure optimal performance and security. The role is critical in maintaining the platform''s dependability and advancing its continuous integration and testing capabilities.
3. Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable automated test frameworks to validate Linux kernel performance, reliability, and security
Create test suites to verify new enhancements and assist in porting existing kernel modifications
Debug and troubleshoot complex low-level system issues in testing and simulated production environments
Architect and improve build and test automation infrastructure for continuous integration
Provide technical leadership, establish quality standards, and mentor junior team members
4. Requirements:
Eight years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience in software validation and development in C, focusing on Linux kernel infrastructure
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl
In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals, including KVM, virtio drivers, cgroups, memory management, file systems, block IO, ethernet drivers, and the TCP/IP stack
Extensive experience with Linux kernel debugging tools, performance benchmarking, and continuous testing/CI frameworks
Self-motivated technical leader with strong collaboration skills
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
For US-based candidates, the base salary ranges from $146,400 to $263,600 per year
Compensation includes potential annual bonuses, equity awards, and participation in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
