2. About the Opportunity:
The Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is responsible for executing end-to-end machine learning systems, bridging research, infrastructure, and product development. This role ensures that AI models are trainable, deployable, observable, and performant in production environments. The position contributes by enabling the delivery of high-impact machine learning solutions that improve user experience and meet performance and quality standards.
3. Responsibilities:
Oversee complete machine learning system execution including data pipelines, training workflows, evaluation, inference architecture, and deployment.
Fine-tune and adapt models using methods such as LoRA, QLoRA, SFT, DPO, and distillation.
Architect and manage scalable inference systems balancing latency, cost, and reliability.
Design and maintain data systems for synthetic and real-world training data.
Implement evaluation pipelines addressing performance, robustness, safety, and bias alongside research leadership.
Manage production deployment focusing on GPU optimization, memory efficiency, latency reduction, and scaling.
Collaborate with application engineering teams to integrate machine learning systems into various products.
Make pragmatic trade-offs and rapidly ship improvements based on real usage.
Operate under constraints including latency, cost, reliability, and safety.
4. Requirements:
Experience building or deploying real machine learning systems used by end users.
Required experience in artificial intelligence.
Familiarity with large models and their failure modes.
Strong production-grade coding skills.
Self-directed, pragmatic approach with full ownership of outcomes.
Effective communication and collaboration within small, high-trust teams.
Proficiency with GPU-based training and inference systems, JAX, Python, and PyTorch.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
USD 150000 to USD 170000 yearly.
