Databricks Data Engineer

We are working with a leading government contractor dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions and expert support to federal agencies. This organization is a trusted partner in critical government initiatives, specializing in areas like data modernization, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management.
The Role
Serve as a key Databricks Data Engineer and instructor, delivering customized training and bootcamp programs to federal agency staff.
Collaborate with stakeholders to finalize curriculum, project goals, and integration requirements during a pre-planning phase.
Develop and administer skills assessments to tailor tutoring and curriculum depth to individual participant needs.
Deliver weekly virtual training curriculum, mapped to project milestones and integrating real-world datasets.
Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions and lead weekly seminars combining lecture and hands-on labs.
Guide participants through project-based learning to build various data tools, pipelines, and predictive models.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field with deep expertise in Databricks and technical training experience.
Deep, hands-on expertise in Databricks: SQL and PySpark notebooks, Jobs/Workflows, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and MLflow.
Experience with vector search implementation and data pipeline construction, orchestration, and integration (e.g., Data Factory).
Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps (canvas), Power Automate (cloud and desktop), and Power Fx.
Strong SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions), Python, regular expressions, and Git.
Demonstrated experience developing and delivering technical training curriculum, hands-on labs, or bootcamp-style instruction.
