Role Description
The Vice President of Technology is a full-time remote role responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s technology strategy across internal operations and portfolio companies. This role oversees the evaluation, selection, and integration of technology solutions that support investment analysis, portfolio management, and firm-wide collaboration. Day-to-day tasks include leading IT strategy and architecture, managing technology-related projects, and partnering with investment and operations teams to assess the technical strengths and risks of potential and existing investments. The Vice President of Technology will develop and maintain technology governance standards, optimize cybersecurity and data management practices, and coordinate external vendors and advisors as needed. This position also contributes to strategic planning initiatives, providing insight into emerging technologies, digital transformation opportunities, and process automation.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to evaluate technology platforms, data, and business models in support of investment and operational decisions.
Expertise in information technology domains such as infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data management.
Experience developing and executing IT strategy aligned with organizational goals and portfolio company needs.
Proven project management abilities, including planning, execution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
Background in strategic planning, with the ability to translate long-term business objectives into actionable technology roadmaps.
Prior experience in venture capital, private equity, management consulting, or technology leadership roles is highly beneficial.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, TOGAF) are a plus.
