Role Description
The Vice President of Technology is a full-time remote role responsible for leading technology strategy across the firm and its portfolio companies. This role oversees the evaluation of technology platforms and architectures, advises on IT investments, and aligns technology initiatives with overall business and investment objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and refining IT and digital transformation roadmaps, guiding portfolio company technology leadership, and assessing technical risks and opportunities during due diligence. The Vice President of Technology will collaborate with investment teams, founders, and external partners to implement best practices in information technology, cybersecurity, data management, and innovation. The role also includes managing key technology projects, tracking performance metrics, and providing clear, strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate technologies, assess risks, interpret data, and support investment and operational decisions.
Deep Information Technology expertise, including enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, data management, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
Proven experience in IT Strategy and Strategic Planning to align technology initiatives with firm-wide and portfolio company goals.
Demonstrated Project Management capabilities to lead complex, cross-functional technology projects and deliver outcomes on time and within scope.
Experience in venture capital, private equity, or working closely with high-growth companies is highly beneficial.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment and collaborate across time zones and cultures.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
