AI Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!
The Role
Design, develop, and operate modern web applications across a SaaS portfolio, working across frontend, backend, and DevOps layers.
Integrate AI-native features and agentic experiences into products, using LLMs, retrieval, tool-use, and structured workflows to create value for healthcare professionals and patients.
Design, develop, and operate cloud-native services with a focus on reliability, security, and developer productivity.
Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX, Architecture, and Engineering to elevate engineering and AI-engineering quality.
Stay close to users, understand healthcare workflows, and bring an entrepreneurial, outcome-driven mindset to feature development.
What You'll Need
Senior-level full-stack engineering experience with modern web applications, with deep knowledge in at least one frontend stack (React or Angular) and one backend stack (Java/Spring Boot or Python).
Completed university degree (Master's or PhD) in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable technical field.
Proficient in core technologies like React/Angular, Java Spring Boot, Python, C#, Kafka, Terraform, and Cloud/DevOps environments (Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD).
Demonstrated effective use of AI in software engineering, including experience with LLM tools (Azure OpenAI, Anthropic SDK) and designing AI pipelines, harnesses, and context engineering.
Fluent in German and English, strong problem-solving skills, innovative, proactive, and excellent collaboration with product management.
