Senior AI Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!
The Role
Design, develop, and operate modern web applications across a SaaS portfolio (frontend, backend, DevOps)
Integrate AI-native features and agentic experiences into products using LLMs, Retrieval, Tool-Use, and structured workflows
Design, develop, and operate cloud-native services with a focus on reliability, security, and developer productivity
Collaborate with Product Management, UX, Architecture, and Engineering to enhance engineering and AI-engineering quality
Understand healthcare workflows and apply an outcome-driven mindset to feature development
What You'll Need
Senior-level experience in full-stack engineering of modern web applications
Deep knowledge in at least one frontend stack (React or Angular) and one backend stack (Java/Spring Boot or Python)
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field
Practical experience with React/Angular, Java Spring Boot, Python, C#, Kafka, Terraform, and Cloud/DevOps environments (Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD)
Experience effectively using AI in software engineering, including agentic coding tools and designing AI pipelines
Fluent in German and English, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, innovative mindset
