About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst eCommerce (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team at our management location in Mülheim an der Ruhr. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development and optimization of our new eCommerce system landscape for our delivery service, meinALDI. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, analyze, and implement innovative digital solutions that improve the customer journey and operational efficiency. Your expertise will help translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable specifications, ensuring that our digital products meet both technical standards and customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our eCommerce platform from the ground up, contributing directly to the growth and success of ALDI SÜD’s digital initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a successfully completed university degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik, Betriebswirtschaft, Informatik, or a comparable qualification. You should have several years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Product Analyst, or in a similar role within a digital environment. Proven expertise in analyzing, structuring, and prioritizing complex business requirements is essential. A solid understanding of modern software development processes and agile methodologies is required. You should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a proactive, hands-on approach and high level of initiative. Excellent communication skills in German and English are necessary to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Additionally, you should have a keen interest in shaping innovative digital business models and a passion for delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions.
Responsibilities
Actively participate in the design and development of the new eCommerce system landscape for our delivery service, meinALDI, and contribute to building an innovative commerce platform from scratch.
Analyze the entire customer journey to identify optimization opportunities, deriving data-driven recommendations and requirements for improvement.
Gather, structure, and document both functional and non-functional requirements for digital products and systems, ensuring clarity and completeness.
Translate business needs into understandable user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable solutions for the engineering teams.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and project goals.
Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and prioritization meetings, supporting effective stakeholder communication and decision-making.
Support testing, rollout, and optimization phases, ensuring solutions align with specified requirements and quality standards.
Identify risks, dependencies, and areas for improvement early in the project lifecycle and develop appropriate mitigation measures in collaboration with teams.
Contribute to the continuous enhancement of digital products based on customer feedback, usage data, and key business metrics.
Assist in managing the operational phase of products, proposing process improvements and functional enhancements to maximize user satisfaction and business value.
