Zero Trust Cybersecurity Engineer

The Role
Contribute to Zero Trust (ZT) initiatives for a key customer, focusing on on-premises and cloud-based network enclaves.
Assess current ZT implementations, identify gaps, and develop migration plans to achieve baseline and advanced ZT objectives.
Become a subject matter expert in one of the DoW CIO's seven pillars of ZT, guiding solution development.
Perform security readiness assessments and develop ZT implementation roadmaps.
Research ZT security solutions, providing detailed analysis, integration considerations, and comparisons.
Coordinate with stakeholders to tailor ZT requirements and facilitate communication and implementation.
What You'll Need
Minimum 4 years of experience in network solutions architecture, engineering, implementation, and operations.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based network infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud).
Familiarity with common enterprise-grade network security & SIEM technologies (e.g., Zscaler, Palo Alto, Splunk).
Knowledge of NIST 800, FedRAMP, Risk Management Framework, and FISMA operating standards.
Understanding of Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA), principles, and practices.
Active Secret Clearance is required.
