About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical Lead and .NET engineer to spearhead the development of our newly established Adherence Engineering Team. This pivotal role involves designing, building, and scaling innovative technology solutions aimed at improving patient vaccination adherence within medical practices. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers, oversee the architecture of scalable software systems, and collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to refine and expand adherence solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact public health positively by leveraging automation and outreach tools that have already demonstrated significant results, including over a 10% increase in vaccination rates. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building high-quality software, mentoring engineering talent, and shaping a robust platform architecture that supports our mission to enhance patient health outcomes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least 3+ years of experience in a technical lead or team lead role, demonstrating proven leadership capabilities in software development. A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using the .NET framework is essential. Strong expertise in C#, .NET, and SQL Server is required, along with a solid understanding of building service-based and distributed applications. Familiarity with modern technologies and patterns such as ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core, Single Page Applications (Angular, React, or similar), message brokers (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus), dependency injection, task scheduling frameworks (Quartz.NET), third-party API integrations, and automated testing frameworks (MsTest, NUnit, xUnit) is highly desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a curiosity to understand complex business challenges, and a passion for continuous improvement in software quality and architecture.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include providing technical leadership to the adherence and patient engagement engineering team, fostering a collaborative culture rooted in trust and craftsmanship. The candidate will design and develop scalable, high-performance software architectures, ensuring maintainability and robustness through well-tested code and automation practices. They will partner with product managers and business teams to define and evolve adherence solutions, translating business needs into technical solutions. Leading development efforts from initial architecture and design phases through deployment and ongoing support is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, mentoring and developing engineers within the team to enhance their technical skills and professional growth will be a core responsibility. The role also involves staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the platform's capabilities and performance.
