1. About Our Client:
The organization operates within the gun violence prevention sector, addressing the critical issue of gun-related deaths in the United States. 2. About the Opportunity:
The Grants Manager is responsible for overseeing grantwriting efforts and managing the grants calendar to support the organization''s fundraising objectives. This role ensures timely submission of grant proposals and reports, maintains strong funder relationships, and contributes to the organization''s capacity to secure and steward funding necessary to advance its mission.
3. Responsibilities:
Plan and draft grant proposals, letters of intent, narratives, and budgets in collaboration with program staff and finance.
Submit grant applications through various channels and maintain all related credentials.
Manage the grants calendar to comply with funder deadlines and renewal schedules.
Maintain organized records of grants, prospects, and supporting documents.
Support outreach and engagement strategies with institutional donors.
Develop collateral materials for prospect outreach and fundraising efforts.
Participate in meetings with foundation staff to cultivate and steward relationships.
Monitor and fulfill funder reporting requirements, including drafting progress reports.
Assist in assembling supporting materials such as budget reports and success stories.
Collaborate with finance to improve grant-related accounting procedures.
Coordinate regularly with the Programs team to align fundraising with organizational goals.
Track and communicate progress on grant portfolio outcomes.
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or six years of relevant work experience.
At least three years of experience in grantwriting.
Strong project management and organizational skills with experience handling deadlines.
Demonstrated writing and communication abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 annually, dependent on experience.
