About Our Client:

About the Opportunity:
The Sr. Accounting Manager role is a leadership position responsible for building and managing an in-house accounting team in the Philippines as the organization transitions from outsourced services. Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees day-to-day accounting operations and monthly reporting across a multi-entity residential portfolio. It plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, speed, and transparency in financial processes, facilitating collaboration between the offshore and US-based teams, and supporting the organization''s growth in property management, construction, and development.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, onboard, train, and manage the accounting team in the Philippines.
Plan and execute the migration of accounting processes from the current outsourced provider.
Manage full-cycle property accounting including accounts payable, receivable, cash management, bank reconciliations, intercompany balances, and month-end close.
Oversee monthly close calendar and deliver financial statements, owner statements, and management reports in compliance with US GAAP.
Establish and maintain quality checks, internal controls, and review procedures.
Identify and implement process improvements, standardize workflows, and develop training materials and SOPs.
Serve as the primary liaison between the Philippines team and US leadership, providing clear status updates.
Communicate directly with clients on accounting matters to resolve inquiries and issues.
Requirements:
CPA (Philippines) or equivalent with experience in public accounting, preferably from a Big 4 or large firm.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
Hands-on experience in residential or real estate property accounting.
Proven leadership in managing and training large accounting teams.
Experience working with US-based clients and strong English communication skills.
Ability to work hours overlapping US Pacific Time.
Preferred experience with property management accounting systems such as AppFolio, Yardi, RealPage, or Buildium.
Experience in transitioning work from service providers or establishing offshore teams is a plus.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
