2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Machine Learning (ML) Engineer role is centered on developing innovative machine learning solutions to advance the claims handling process. This position involves creating scalable ML models and applying exploratory data analysis to solve complex, novel problems. The engineer will translate business challenges into ML initiatives that drive impactful improvements in forecasting and text understanding within the insurance space.
3. Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy machine learning models for production environments
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify ML opportunities and inform model design
Propose and implement features to enhance model performance and business logic
Write and review high-quality production code regularly
Convert client business issues into ML problem statements
Build scalable models for claim time series forecasting and natural language processing
Continuously expand expertise in handling large-scale structured and unstructured data
4. Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist in scalable production settings
Proficient with data science and ML tools such as sklearn, Keras/PyTorch, tuning frameworks
Skilled in Python, Pandas, and Jupyter with a focus on scalable solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborative team player with a solutions-oriented mindset
Experience with Claude Code and related tools is a strong advantage
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Base salary range is $190,000 to $225,000, flexible based on experience
Includes annual bonus plan and company equity plan (RSUs)
