About The Role
Braum's is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at the corporate office in Oklahoma City. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of high-quality software solutions that support our operational and customer-facing systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications across various platforms and technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, infrastructure specialists, and other developers, to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions. Your expertise will help ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our software systems, supporting Braum's ongoing growth and technological advancement. This is a hands-on role requiring leadership in technical discussions, adherence to best practices, and a commitment to delivering reliable and efficient software solutions that meet business needs.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of five years of professional experience in software development is required, with proven expertise in designing and implementing complex software solutions. Candidates should have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, system architecture, and modern development methodologies. Experience working with programming languages such as IBMi (RPG/RPGLE), Python, GoLang, and DotNet is essential. Familiarity with source control systems like Git, scripting with Bash, and CI/CD pipeline automation is also necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead technical projects from inception to completion, maintain existing systems, and optimize application performance. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to security best practices, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement software solutions using various programming languages and technologies such as IBMi (RPG/RPGLE), Python, GoLang, WebFrameworks, and DotNet.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient software applications.
Lead technical discussions and provide innovative solutions to complex challenges, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and integration processes, ensuring rapid delivery of high-quality software.
Maintain, enhance, and optimize existing software systems for improved performance, security, and scalability.
Ensure software security by incorporating RBAC principles and other security best practices into application design.
Support operational needs through on-call rotations, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues promptly.
Lead and participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to foster a collaborative development environment.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software solutions and development processes.
