1. About Our Client:
The organization operates within the federal procurement sector, addressing the complexities of acquisition support for government contracts. The organization plays a critical role in supporting federal procurement activities with a focus on efficiency, regulatory adherence, and contract lifecycle management.
2. About the Opportunity:
The Mid-Level Contract Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive acquisition support throughout the contract lifecycle. This role ensures that solicitations, contracts, and related documentation comply with federal regulations and agency policies. The position contributes to the organization''s success by maintaining acquisition process integrity, mentoring junior staff, and supporting timely and compliant contract execution.
3. Responsibilities:
Prepare and review solicitation and contract documents including Statements of Work, Independent Government Cost Estimates, and evaluation criteria.
Conduct and document market research to guide acquisition strategy.
Perform cost and price analyses; prepare negotiation memoranda and award recommendations.
Support Contract Review Board processes and maintain contract file integrity.
Assist with post-award contract administration, modifications, and close-out activities.
Collaborate with program offices to ensure compliant acquisition execution.
Maintain accurate records in federal procurement systems.
Mentor junior specialists and facilitate knowledge sharing.
Stay current with updates to FAR, EDAR, and procurement policies.
Enter time worked daily and submit timesheets each pay period.
Submit monthly status reports as required.
Monitor organizational email regularly and respond appropriately.
Complete assigned compliance training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
4. Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of FAR, EDAR, and federal acquisition processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform independent analysis and make recommendations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and procurement systems such as FPDS or PRISM.
Experience managing multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Acquisition, Finance, or related field.
3-7 years of experience in federal contracting or procurement.
Experience with cost/price analysis, solicitation preparation, and contract management.
FAC-C (Professional) or DAWIA Level II/III certification preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance; Department of Defense clearance preferred.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
