Role Description The Content Editor role at Roarke Regenerative is a full-time, remote position responsible for shaping and refining written content that supports the organization’s mission and programs. On a day-to-day basis, the Content Editor reviews, edits, and proofreads web content, articles, reports, donor communications, and educational materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy. This role collaborates with writers, program staff, and marketing colleagues to manage content workflows, maintain editorial standards, and align messaging with brand guidelines. The Content Editor also conducts background research to verify facts, strengthen narratives, and enhance the impact of stories related to reforestation and environmental restoration. Additional responsibilities include organizing content in a content management system, optimizing copy for digital publication, and contributing to the development of new content concepts and communication campaigns.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Editorial skills, including editing for style, tone, and accuracy.
Candidates should possess Web Content Writing and Writing skills for creating and refining digital copy.
Candidates should possess Content Management skills to organize, track, and publish materials across platforms.
Candidates should possess Research skills to support fact-checking, source validation, and content development.
Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Candidates should be comfortable working remotely, managing deadlines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Candidates with experience in environmental, nonprofit, or scientific communication will be highly regarded.
A bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Environmental Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
Base salary: $150,000–$165,000, commensurate with experience, plus a competitive annual performance bonus
