Role Description The Python Engineer will work in a full-time hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based software applications and backend services that support the learning platform. The role involves building APIs, integrating databases, writing clean and efficient code, and ensuring system reliability and performance. The Python Engineer will collaborate with educators, product teams, and other engineers to translate learning and business requirements into robust technical solutions. Additional tasks include code reviews, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of existing systems to enhance learner experience and scalability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, with proficiency in Python.
Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs and server-side logic.
Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including version control, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Candidates should possess experience working with Databases, including schema design, queries, and optimization.
Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask, and familiarity with RESTful services, is beneficial.
Understanding of software architecture, scalability, and security best practices is preferred.
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Interest in education, edtech, or contributing to mission-driven initiatives that empower students is a strong plus.
