Role Description The Department Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of a designated department within the store. This role includes planning and monitoring sales, managing inventory and visual merchandising, and ensuring that brand guidelines and retail standards are consistently met. The Department Manager will lead, coach, and schedule team members, drive customer service excellence, and resolve operational or customer escalations in a timely manner. The role also involves tracking key performance indicators, preparing reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting store-level initiatives and campaigns, and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency and achieve departmental targets.
Qualifications
Strong retail operations and store management skills, including sales planning, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
People management capabilities, such as team leadership, performance coaching, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
Customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to handle escalations and maintain a high-quality in-store experience.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, track KPIs, and implement process improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and engage with diverse customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in fashion or lifestyle retail, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak seasons, as required by store operations.
