Senior Buyer

Job Purppse: The Senior Buyer is responsible for executing the seasonal buying strategy for assigned product categories. The role focuses on assortment planning, buy quantity planning, vendor coordination, inventory management, and performance tracking to ensure timely product availability, strong sell-through, and achievement of business objectives. The Senior Buyer collaborates closely with design, sourcing, planning, and retail teams to translate consumer insights and business requirements into successful product assortments.
Seasonal Buying & Assortment Planning
Support the Buying Head in developing seasonal assortments for assigned categories.
Analyze historical sales, market trends, and consumer preferences to recommend product selections. Participate in range reviews and assortment finalization activities.
Buying Calendar Execution
Ensure adherence to the buying calendar and key product development milestones.
Coordinate with design, sourcing, and planning teams to track progress and resolve delays. Maintain timely execution of seasonal buying activities.
Vendor Coordination & Order Management
Work closely with vendors and sourcing teams to communicate buy quantities and delivery schedules.
Track purchase orders and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and quality standards. Support vendor performance reviews and follow-up actions.
Inventory & Stock Optimization
Monitor inventory levels, stock cover, and sell-through performance across categories.
Identify slow-moving and fast-selling products and recommend corrective actions. Support inventory balancing and replenishment decisions.
Sales & Performance Analysis
Conduct regular analysis of sales, product performance, and category trends. Prepare actionable insights and recommendations to improve category productivity.
Track key metrics including sell-through, stock turn, and markdown performance.
In-Season Trading & Replenishment
Partner with Design, Planning, Sourcing, Retail, and VM teams to support successful product launches.
Gather feedback from stores and channels to improve future buying decisions.
Ensure alignment of category plans with the Buying objectives.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
Maintain accurate buying records, reports, and analysis. Contribute ideas to improve buying processes, reporting, and inventory productivity.
Ensure compliance with established buying frameworks and operating procedures.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate/Master's degree
Experince: 7+ Years in buying
