The Qualifications We Seek
More than 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data integration, ETL development, database engineering, or enterprise data migration
Advanced PostgreSQL and relational database expertise, including complex SQL queries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), constraints, window functions, and indexing strategies across relational schemas with high migration counts
Proven ability to write practical, production-grade data manipulation scripts using TypeScript/Node.js or Python, including Pandas, Polars, or similar technologies
Strong mathematical rigor and meticulous attention to data reconciliation and validation, including control totals, boundary-condition checks, and trial balance integrity verification before load completion
Hands-on experience with the extraction, transformation, cleaning, and loading of complex production data from legacy ERP, financial, or CRM systems, such as NetSuite, Sage, Dynamics, QuickBooks, or SAP
Hands-on experience with live data migration cutovers
Strong written and technical communication skills, with the ability to explain data anomalies, mapping exceptions, and reconciliation summaries clearly to technical leads and customer finance teams
Familiarity with accounting mechanics, including double-entry bookkeeping, trial balances, and debit/credit balancing, preferred
Familiarity with Supabase and Row Level Security (RLS) enforcement, preferred
Familiarity with regulated data requirements, including audit trails and lot traceability, preferred
Your Daily Tasks
Ingest, inspect, and profile complex legacy customer datasets, including bills of materials, item master records, multi-currency open AR/AP, historical lot genealogy, vendor catalogs, and customer ledgers, across CSV, JSON, and direct database extracts
Write clean, maintainable data transformation and loading scripts using Python or TypeScript/Node.js to map legacy datasets into PostgreSQL schemas
Establish strict reconciliation protocols, including row counts, checksum validation, hash comparisons, general ledger trial balance tie-outs, and lot quantity reconciliation
Verify zero data loss or silent mutation before production cutover
Build, deploy, and monitor recurring data feeds, including retailer point-of-sale files, EDI and supplier feeds, and document-parsing inputs
Implement active anomaly detection and data freshness alerts across recurring ingestion workflows
Convert bespoke, one-off migration scripts into reusable, modular importer tooling
Reduce customer onboarding timelines from weeks to days through scalable, repeatable, and efficient migration tooling
