About the Role
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Fashion Illustrator to join our Design team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of fashion, silhouettes, proportions, garment details, prints, textures, and colour, with the ability to translate creative concepts into refined fashion illustrations.
The role requires close collaboration with the Design and Production teams to develop visually accurate illustrations that support the brand's design direction.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed fashion illustrations, garment sketches, and technical fashion drawings based on design concepts.
Translate designer briefs, references, mood boards, and ideas into visually appealing illustrations.
Illustrate garment silhouettes, drapes, embroidery, prints, surface details, trims, and embellishments accurately.
Develop colourways, fabric representations, and detailed garment presentations.
Prepare illustrations for presentations, design reviews, sampling, and internal approvals.
Work closely with designers to understand and interpret creative requirements.
Make revisions based on feedback while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain consistency with the brand's aesthetic and design language.
Create both hand-drawn and digital illustrations, as required.
Organise and maintain illustration files and design assets.
Stay updated on fashion trends, illustration techniques, fabrics, silhouettes, and emerging visual styles.
Required Skills
Strong fashion illustration and sketching skills.
Good understanding of fashion anatomy, proportions, garment construction, and silhouettes.
Ability to represent different fabrics, textures, embroidery, prints, and embellishments.
Strong understanding of colour, composition, and visual presentation.
Proficiency in relevant digital illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or similar software.
Ability to work from references as well as develop illustrations independently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Strong fashion awareness and understanding of luxury/premium fashion aesthetics.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Experience working with a fashion designer, fashion label, apparel brand, or design studio.
Experience with luxury, occasion wear, bridal, couture, or premium fashion will be an advantage.
A strong portfolio demonstrating fashion illustration and garment detailing.
