Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Business Analyst role at BAG Ventures is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting investment and portfolio activities related to AI-driven startups. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and competitive analyses across targeted sectors, evaluating startup business models, and preparing data-driven insights to inform investment decisions. The Business Analyst will collaborate with the investment team to review pitch materials, support due diligence, and help structure business and growth plans for portfolio companies. Additional tasks include organizing qualitative and quantitative research, assisting with reporting and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders, and providing clear communication summaries for strategic discussions. This role is designed for an individual who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, distributed environment while maintaining a high level of analytical rigor and professional judgment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, including data interpretation, financial modeling basics, and the ability to translate complex information into clear insights.
Candidates should possess business and business planning skills, such as understanding startup fundamentals, market sizing, unit economics, and strategic planning.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, including concise written analysis, clear presentation of findings, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should possess customer service and relationship management skills to interact professionally with founders, partners, and ecosystem collaborators.
Relevant qualifications include experience or coursework in venture capital, consulting, finance, or technology sectors; familiarity with AI, SaaS, or cybersecurity is a plus.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, economics, finance, engineering, data science, or a related field is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work remotely with strong time management, attention to detail, and integrity in handling confidential information.
