About the Opportunity:
The REFERRAL COORDINATOR role is pivotal in managing the administrative processes of patient referrals between providers and health plans. This position ensures efficient healthcare service delivery by interpreting medical guidelines, insurance policies, and facilitating communication among stakeholders. The role supports the organization’s mission by streamlining referral logistics and acting as a key resource on insurance and referral protocols.
Responsibilities:
Expedite administrative requirements and logistics of patient referrals
Serve as a resource regarding referrals and insurance plan guidelines
Apply discretion, good judgment, and professional communication in all tasks
Utilize independent decision-making and maintain strong interpersonal skills
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Two years of experience in a medical setting or insurance company
Desired experience in managed care
Preferred experience with CPT and ICD-9 coding
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Pay scale ranges from $20.88 to $30.05 USD per hour, influenced by skills, experience, and certification or education
