Senior Vice President of Brand Management

Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Vice President of Brand Management to lead the company’s enterprise-wide brand strategy, brand positioning, portfolio management, and long-term brand growth.
This executive will work closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, marketing leadership, and business unit leaders to strengthen brand equity, establish consistent brand positioning, enhance market recognition, and ensure that the company’s brand strategy supports broader business and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute an enterprise-wide brand management strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
Establish brand positioning, architecture, identity, messaging, and long-term brand growth strategies.
Oversee the development and management of corporate, product, service, and sub-brand portfolios.
Ensure consistent brand positioning and identity across markets, customer segments, products, and communication channels.
Analyze market trends, customer insights, competitive activity, and brand performance to identify growth opportunities.
Develop strategies to strengthen brand awareness, relevance, differentiation, loyalty, and customer engagement.
Establish brand performance KPIs, measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting processes.
Monitor brand health, customer perception, market positioning, and competitive performance.
Partner with marketing, communications, sales, product, customer experience, and other functions to integrate brand strategy across the organization.
Lead major brand initiatives, repositioning programs, portfolio strategies, and brand transformation projects.
Develop and maintain brand guidelines, governance standards, messaging frameworks, and brand management processes.
Evaluate opportunities for new products, services, markets, partnerships, and strategic brand extensions.
Use customer research, market intelligence, and analytics to inform brand strategy and investment decisions.
Develop business cases and financial analyses for major brand investments, campaigns, initiatives, and portfolio decisions.
Collaborate with finance to evaluate brand investment, marketing effectiveness, profitability, and return on investment.
Ensure that brand strategy is effectively translated into marketing campaigns, customer experiences, digital platforms, and commercial activities.
Partner with corporate communications to maintain consistent corporate reputation, messaging, and brand positioning.
Identify brand risks, inconsistencies, and competitive threats and develop appropriate response strategies.
Support mergers, acquisitions, new market entries, product launches, and other strategic initiatives from a brand management perspective.
Provide executive leadership with regular updates on brand performance, market positioning, customer perception, strategic initiatives, and investment priorities.
Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing brand management and marketing teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.
15+ years of progressive experience in brand management, marketing strategy, brand strategy, or a related field.
Significant experience in senior or executive-level brand leadership.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful enterprise-wide brand strategies.
Strong understanding of brand positioning, brand architecture, portfolio management, customer insights, and market strategy.
Demonstrated experience managing complex brand portfolios and large-scale brand initiatives.
Strong analytical, financial, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities.
Experience using market research, customer data, competitive intelligence, and analytics to inform brand decisions.
Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate business objectives into clear and differentiated brand strategies.
Strong understanding of integrated marketing, digital channels, customer experience, and corporate communications.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how brand strategy supports revenue growth and business performance.
Ability to manage multiple high-priority brand initiatives in a fast-paced executive environment.
Demonstrated ability to build, lead, mentor, and develop high-performing brand and marketing teams.
