The Executive Vice President, Strategic Projects leads the organization’s highest-priority strategic projects, enterprise initiatives, and transformation programs. This role translates corporate strategy into large-scale execution, oversees complex cross-functional initiatives, optimizes organizational resources and investments, and ensures critical projects deliver measurable business impact and long-term strategic value.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Strategic Project Portfolio
Lead the enterprise portfolio of strategic projects and major initiatives, establish priorities based on business impact, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy and long-term objectives.
Strategic Planning and Execution
Translate executive priorities and corporate strategy into actionable programs, establish clear objectives and milestones, and drive execution of high-impact initiatives.
Enterprise Transformation and Major Initiatives
Oversee large-scale transformation programs, business improvement initiatives, strategic investments, and other projects critical to organizational growth and competitiveness.
Executive Governance and Performance Management
Establish enterprise-level governance frameworks, performance standards, reporting mechanisms, and decision processes to ensure accountability and execution discipline.
Resource and Investment Optimization
Direct the allocation of financial, operational, technological, and organizational resources across strategic initiatives to maximize business value and execution efficiency.
Strategic Risk and Issue Management
Identify and manage strategic, operational, financial, and execution risks across major initiatives; establish mitigation strategies and ensure critical issues receive timely executive attention.
Executive Advisory and Stakeholder Alignment
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing project portfolio insights, investment recommendations, performance assessments, and execution priorities.
Organizational Leadership and Capability Development
Build and lead a high-performing strategic projects organization, strengthen enterprise project management capabilities, and establish scalable processes for strategic execution and continuous improvement.
QualificationsEducation Background
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Project Management, Operations, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
MBA, master’s degree, PMP, PgMP, or other relevant advanced qualification preferred.
Work Experience
18+ years of professional experience in strategic projects, enterprise transformation, program management, corporate strategy, operations, consulting, or related fields.
10+ years of experience in senior executive leadership roles overseeing complex enterprise initiatives.
Extensive experience managing large-scale strategic project portfolios, transformation programs, and cross-functional business initiatives.
Strong background in enterprise governance, resource allocation, investment management, budgeting, performance management, and strategic risk.
Demonstrated ability to translate corporate strategy into large-scale execution and measurable business outcomes.
Proven experience working directly with CEOs, executive leadership teams, boards, and senior stakeholders.
Experience in financial services, investment management, technology, or other complex and highly structured business environments is advantageous.
