Position: Shipping Operations Executive
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 2–5 Years
Function: Shipping Operations / Freight Forwarding
Budget: Upto 5 LPA
About the role
This is a hands-on coordination role for someone who understands that successful shipping is not just about making a booking — it is about ensuring the entire shipment lifecycle moves smoothly from rate finalization to final delivery and settlement.
What will you be responsible for?
You will act as the key operational link between:
Customer
Customer Onboarding Team
Shipping / Freight Forwarding Team
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating rate finalization, space & equipment availability
Managing the booking process and ensuring timely confirmations
Coordinating with customers, shipping lines, NVOCCs and internal teams
Monitoring shipments from booking through final delivery
Proactively identifying and resolving operational issues and delays
Ensuring documentation and shipment requirements are completed on time
Keeping the Customer Onboarding Team and management updated on shipment progress and exceptions
Coordinating operational closure and settlement of shipments
Who are we looking for?
2–5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping / Logistics Operations
Good understanding of ocean freight and booking processes
Strong coordination and follow-up skills
Customer-facing communication experience
Ability to manage multiple shipments and stakeholders simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset
