Freelance Video Editor

This is a remote, contract role for a Freelance Video Editor. The Video Editor will work closely with me and occasional client stakeholders to edit raw footage into polished final videos, including trimming, sequencing, and aligning audio and visual elements. Day-to-day tasks include organizing media assets, applying transitions and effects, performing basic color corrections, and ensuring visual consistency across deliverables. The role may also involve creating simple motion graphics or integrating existing graphic elements to enhance storytelling and brand identity. The Video Editor will be expected to manage their own schedule, communicate progress clearly, and deliver projects on time according to agreed briefs and specifications.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including handling raw footage and assembling coherent, engaging narratives.
Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent visual style and quality across different scenes and projects.
Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create or integrate titles, overlays, and other visual elements that support storytelling.
Experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio editing tools.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines reliably.
Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving skills, and openness to feedback and revisions.
Prior experience in freelance or client-facing video work is preferred; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant projects is highly beneficial.
Conversational understanding and speaking in English. I’ll expect you to edit some English talking head videos too.
