Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Database Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a high-performing team responsible for designing, automating, and managing large-scale database platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in database administration, platform engineering, automation, cloud technologies, and reliability engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure database platforms
✅ Implement SRE best practices including monitoring, alerting, incident management, and reliability improvements
✅ Automate database provisioning, deployments, patching, backup, and recovery processes
✅ Ensure database performance, availability, scalability, and security across environments
✅ Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or similar tools
✅ Collaborate with Development, Cloud, and Operations teams to optimize platform reliability
✅ Conduct root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes for production issues
✅ Implement observability solutions, dashboards, and proactive monitoring strategies
Required Skills
✔ Strong experience in Database Administration (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB)
✔ Hands-on experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Production Support environments
✔ Expertise in Linux/Unix Administration
✔ Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or PowerShell
✔ Experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
✔ Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure Automation tools
✔ Experience with Monitoring & Observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or ELK
✔ Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
✔ Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Preferred Skills
➕ Experience with Kubernetes and Container Platforms
➕ Knowledge of Database Security and Compliance Standards
➕ Exposure to High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Backup Solutions
➕ Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise-scale production support experience
