About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Freelance SEO Marketing Expert to strengthen RiseUpp's organic search presence, increase qualified website traffic and drive organic lead generation.
Our goal is to rank prominently for high-intent searches related to Online MBA, Online Degrees, Online BBA, Online MCA, Executive Education, Professional Certifications and Upskilling Programmes.
We need someone who can go beyond SEO recommendations and take ownership of strategy, implementation and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO growth strategy to improve organic visibility, rankings and lead generation.
Technical SEO: Conduct audits and resolve issues related to crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, canonicalisation and structured data.
On-Page SEO: Optimise programme pages, university pages, category pages, meta tags, headings and internal linking.
Keyword Research: Identify high-volume and high-intent keywords across online degrees, certifications and career-focused programmes.
Content SEO: Develop content strategies, topic clusters and SEO briefs to improve rankings and topical authority.
Programmatic SEO: Identify scalable SEO opportunities across thousands of course and university listings while maintaining content quality.
Off-Page SEO: Build quality backlinks, strengthen domain authority and develop ethical link-building strategies.
Competitor Analysis: Analyse leading education platforms to identify keyword gaps and opportunities.
AI Search Optimisation: Improve visibility across AI-powered search experiences, including Google AI Overviews and relevant AI discovery platforms.
SEO Analytics: Track performance using Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush and other SEO tools.
Who We're Looking For
Proven experience in SEO with measurable results in organic traffic growth and keyword rankings.
3+ years of hands-on SEO experience preferred.
Experience working with EdTech, education marketplaces, high-content websites or large-scale platforms is a strong advantage.
Strong expertise in technical SEO, on-page SEO, off-page SEO and content optimisation.
Experience optimising websites with thousands of dynamically generated pages.
Good understanding of search intent, conversion optimisation and organic lead generation.
Ability to work independently, identify opportunities and execute strategies.
Data-driven approach with a strong focus on measurable business outcomes.
