Company Description PYAAS is a DPIIT-recognized, FSSAI-licensed dairy startup that creates full traceability across India’s milk chain, connecting urban families directly with named farms and farmers. Every PYAAS milk pack carries a QR code that reveals its complete record, including farm details, batch composition, milk quality tests, and handling timelines. The company currently sources milk from four family farms in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, with additional farms mapped and onboarded through rigorous on-site checks and testing. PYAAS offers single-farm and family-farm milk, small-batch Bilona cow ghee, and serves as Parag’s digital storefront for selected Lucknow localities. All services run on the PYAAS app, supported by the PYAAS Digital Agent Network (P-DAN), which empowers local milkmen and shop owners to serve their neighborhoods via the platform.
Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Software Engineer, based in Noida with flexibility for partial work from home. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications that power the PYAAS platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, writing clean and testable code, integrating with third-party APIs, and optimizing performance for mobile and web experiences. The role also involves collaborating with product, operations, and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to architecture and technical decision-making. The Software Engineer will participate in code reviews, maintain documentation, and help improve development workflows and tooling.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, with understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design fundamentals.
Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, including experience with modern programming languages and development workflows.
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application in production code.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control systems (e.g., Git), and RESTful API design.
Knowledge of cloud platforms or deployment environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar) and basic DevOps practices is an advantage.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with familiarity in automated testing and debugging.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative startup environment.
