Company Description PYAAS is a DPIIT-recognized, FSSAI-licensed dairy startup that builds full traceability into every pack of milk, connecting urban families directly with individual farmers. Each PYAAS pack carries a QR code that shows the farm, farmer, milk quality parameters, and batch details, making transparency a core part of the product. The company currently sources milk from four family farms in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, with more farms being mapped and onboarded after thorough testing and verification. PYAAS offers single-farm and family-farm milk in Lucknow, small-batch Bilona cow ghee shipped across India, and serves as Parag’s appointed digital storefront for select localities. All services run on the PYAAS app and the PYAAS Digital Agent Network, enabling local agents to serve their neighborhoods and giving consumers direct access to verifiable dairy records.
Role Description The Senior Java Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power the PYAAS app and platform, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security. This full-time hybrid role is based in Noida, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features in Java and Spring-based microservices, integrating with external systems, and optimizing existing code and data flows. The person in this role will collaborate closely with product, operations, and data teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system reliability. The Senior Java Software Engineer will also contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentoring of other engineers, helping to establish development best practices across the team.
Qualifications
Strong Software Development skills with experience designing and building scalable backend systems.
Hands-on expertise in Java and solid Programming fundamentals, including object-oriented design and data structures.
Practical experience with Microservices architecture, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, and deployment.
Proficiency with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) for building production-grade services.
Experience with RESTful API design, JSON, and integrating with third-party services.
Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and basic data modeling.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and modern development workflows.
Ability to write clean, testable code and use unit and integration testing frameworks effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
