Company Description PYAAS is a DPIIT-recognized, FSSAI-licensed dairy startup that builds full transparency into India’s milk supply chain. Every PYAAS pack carries a detailed QR-based record that traces milk back to the farm, farmer, batch composition, quality tests, and handling timelines. The company currently sources milk from a growing network of family farms in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, ensuring each farm is personally verified and its milk tested before onboarding. Customers in Lucknow receive single-farm and family-farm milk, small-batch Bilona cow ghee, and daily Parag milk and dairy deliveries through the PYAAS app on Android and iOS. Through the PYAAS Digital Agent Network, local milk vendors and shop owners serve their neighborhoods on the platform, bringing farmers closer to urban buyers and giving customers verifiable product records.
Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end systems that power the PYAAS app, digital agent network, and traceability platform. This full-time hybrid role is based in Noida, with flexibility for partial work-from-home. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and optimizing APIs, integrating data from farms, logistics, and customer-facing applications, and implementing secure, reliable services to support real-time traceability and order management. The role will involve collaborating with product, operations, and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, reviewing code, mentoring engineers, and improving development processes. The Senior Software Engineer will also participate in architectural decisions, performance tuning, and troubleshooting production issues to ensure a stable and high-quality user experience.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture principles.
Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or Node.js).
Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integration (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Solid understanding and practical use of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts in designing maintainable and extensible systems.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker), and version control (Git).
Background in designing secure, scalable, and high-availability systems; familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team, mentor junior engineers, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
