Company Description PYAAS is a DPIIT-recognized, FSSAI-licensed dairy startup focused on bringing full transparency and traceability to India’s milk supply chain. Every PYAAS milk pack carries a QR code that reveals farm-level data, including farmer identity, batch composition, quality metrics, and timelines from milking to chilling. The company sources milk from carefully vetted family farms in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, ensuring farmers receive fair, test-based pricing and direct access to urban buyers. Through the PYAAS app and the PYAAS Digital Agent Network (P-DAN), local milkmen and shop owners in Lucknow deliver milk and dairy products with digital convenience and verified records. Operating from Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, PYAAS connects dairy brands to households, farmers to markets, and consumers to verified product information.
Role Description The Senior System Software Engineer will design, develop, and optimize system-level software that powers PYAAS’s core platforms and digital traceability solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and implementing backend services, working with operating system components, troubleshooting complex performance and reliability issues, and ensuring secure, scalable integrations between mobile apps, cloud services, and data pipelines. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate product and operational requirements into robust technical solutions, reviewing code, mentoring engineers, and maintaining high engineering standards. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Noida, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Proficiency in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks relevant to system-level and backend engineering.
Hands-on experience with Debugging complex, distributed, or performance-sensitive systems.
Practical knowledge of Operating Systems concepts such as memory management, concurrency, file systems, and process scheduling.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience building and maintaining scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices, preferably in cloud environments.
Familiarity with database technologies, messaging queues, and observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing).
Ability to write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and mentor less experienced team members.
Comfort working in a startup environment, with strong ownership, collaboration, and communication skills.
Experience in agriculture, supply-chain, IoT, or traceability platforms is an advantage.
